
Candace Hanson, Marisa Stevenson and Kelsey Yale
Candace Hanson, LPCC (she/her) has a master’s degree from Valparaiso U in Indiana. Candace brings years of experience working with a wide range of clients, specifically adolescents and young adults dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or personality disorders, and individuals navigating through life transitions. As the Co-founder and Executive Director, she oversees all programs and operations of Canopy Roots.
Marisa Stevenson, LPCC (she/her) has a master’s degree from St. Mary’s U. Her approach to therapy is relational, strengths-based and trauma-informed. As the interim program manager of the Minneapolis BCR, she oversees day-to-day operations of the crisis teams and collaborates with
leadership at the City of Minneapolis.
Kelsey Yale, LGSW (she/her) has a master’s degree from the U of Washington with a concentration in Community-Centered Integrative Practice. Kelsey moved to Minnesota from Seattle, Washington where she previously worked in crisis-based mental health services including a Mobile Crisis Team and National Suicide Prevention Lifeline call center. Kelsey is the Training and Development Manager for Canopy Roots and Canopy Mental Health and Consulting.
