This presentation was part of the 5th Annual Mobile Mental Health Crisis Response Summit.
Brief Description:
Scott County’s Coordinated Responses mission is to improve outcomes for those living with mental illness and substance use via partnerships with our local law enforcement. This presentation will discuss lessons learned in the first year of a new program, helpful ways to collaborate while respecting differentiating roles, being HIPPA compliant, and the importance of writing a detailed and descriptive transport hold.
Three Learning Objectives:
- Provide an overview of the Scott County Coordinated Response program, from the launch of a new program to now beyond a year in operation.
- Establishing a partnership with law enforcement
- How our program navigates common legal barriers such as maintaining HIPPA compliance and writing an effective transport hold.
