Crisis responders rarely have time for traditional self-care, yet the emotional intensity of the work demands moments of recovery. This practical, interactive workshop teaches micro self-care: brief practices that fit within the flow of a crisis response shift. Participants will practice several rapid reset techniques designed to regulate stress, maintain focus, and support long-term sustainability in crisis work. Cultural responsiveness and awareness of diverse stress experiences will be integrated throughout, ensuring techniques are adaptable to all responders. Attendees will leave with practical tools and a personalized plan to enhance sustainability, reduce secondary trauma, and maintain effectiveness in high-stress roles.
